HARRY ROSEN: OMBUDSMAN: OASA: BACKGROUND
Harry Rosen has enjoyed extensive leadership experience and success within the health care arena over the past thirty years having held senior executive positions including Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the SA Optometric Association (SAOA) for twelve years. In particular, Harry is part time lecturer on Ethics and Juris Prudence at the University of Johannesburg and has, over the years, at various times, served as chairman of, amongst others, Transformation, Ethics and Disciplinary Committees.
Harry is a frequent invited guest speaker to health care professions on Ethics to accommodate Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements and presenter on Advocacy, Leadership and Corporate Governance at seminars arranged by professional organisations.
Achievements to date encompass Certificates of Appreciation and Tribute as well as Honorary and Honorary Life memberships for efforts on behalf of professional organisations served .Nominated by SAOA Board for ‘Top Ten Influential Leaders in Healthcare Management ‘award in 2008.
Harry is an Honorary Life Member of OASA and is well qualified to serve the profession of Ocularistry and members of the public as Ombudsman.
